As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited provided financial assistance for the kidney transplant of Youth Games Gold Medalist Abdus Sobhan.
The Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation, Mr. Mushtaque Waiz, received a check for Tk. 3 lakh on Thursday from the Managing Director and CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, on behalf of Mr. Abdus Sobhan.
Mr. Abdus Sobhan is a permanent resident of Bhagibala village, under Sadar Thana, in Rangpur district. He won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle at the Youth Games held in March 2023. He is currently suffering from kidney complications and is being treated in the kidney department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Among others, the Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Mr. Abdul Aziz, the Secretary General of the World Sports Alliance, Professor Dr. Zahid Haque, the Manager of the Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation, Mr. Debashish Ghosh, and the Head of Public Relations and Bank Foundation of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Mr. Md. Shamsuddoha, were present.
