Shahjalal Islami Bank organized the ‘Annual Risk Management Conference 2022′ on Saturday through a virtual platform.
The inaugural ceremony of the conference was presided over by the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, while Bangladesh Bank Off-Site Supervision Department Director, Md. Abdul Mannan, was present as the chief guest, according to a press release.
The Chairman of the Risk Management Committee (RMC) and Director of the Bank, Towhidur Rahman, and the Independent Directors of the Bank, Ekramul Haque, along with some renowned Islamic officials, were also present as special guests in the conference and took part in the discussion.
At the virtual meeting, Chief Risk Officer Ashfaqul Hoque presented the key note papers on the overall risk profile of the bank, the risk management framework, risk mitigation methodologies, capital management, core risk management, and upcoming challenges of the bank.
Bangladesh Bank Off-Site Supervision Department Joint Directors Atiqur Rahman and Arif Hasan also took part in the discussion from the regulatory perspective on different risk issues.
Among others, Additional Managing Directors Abdul Aziz, SM Mainuddin Chowdhury, Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury, and M Akhter Hossain, and Deputy Managing Directors Imtiaz U Ahmed, Nasim Sekander, and Nazimuddoula were present at the conference.
