Shahjalal Islami Bank distributes blankets to needy in Demra, Dhaka

BM Report:

Shahjalal Islami Bank, a leading Islamic bank in Bangladesh, distributed blankets to over 200 needy people in the Nijum Bagh area of Demra, Dhaka on Sunday. The distribution was part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

The blankets were distributed by Abdul Kader VP, manager of the Donia branch of Shahjalal Islami Bank, along with Mohammad Zahirul Islam, officer-in-charge of the Demra police station, Mahmudul Hasan Polin, councilor of ward 68, Mahbubul Hasan Nayeem, president of the Nijum Bagh Social Welfare Association, and Habibur Rahman Rocky, general secretary of the association.

The blankets were distributed to people who are struggling to make ends meet and who are most vulnerable to the cold winter weather. The recipients were grateful for the assistance and expressed their appreciation to the bank for its generosity.

“We are committed to helping those in need,” said Abdul Kader VP. “We believe that everyone deserves to be warm and comfortable, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are pleased to be able to provide these blankets to those who need them most.”

The distribution of blankets is just one of the many CSR initiatives that Shahjalal Islami Bank undertakes each year. The bank is committed to giving back to the communities in which it operates and to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
