Foreign ambassadors from ten countries and representatives from the Aga Khan Development Network met with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday, at the Bangabhaban presidential palace in Dhaka.

The ambassadors from India, Russia, China, Bhutan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, and Brazil congratulated Hasina on her landslide victory in the January 7 general election. They also expressed their commitment to continuing cooperation with Bangladesh.

Hasina thanked the ambassadors for their congratulations and expressed her hope for continued cooperation between Bangladesh and their respective countries. She said that Bangladesh is committed to working with its friends and partners to achieve its development goals.

The meeting was a sign of the strong diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and its partners around the world.
