Prices of essential goods to remain stable in Ramadan, assures Salman

Mr. Salman assures a steady supply during Ramadan, highlighting past market trends

BM Report:

Salman F Rahman, the Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, stated that the prices of essential goods would not surge during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, on Sunday.

Addressing journalists following a reception program in Sunamganj district, Salman emphasized, “There is no shortage of essential commodities in the country, and the supply will remain stable during the holy month of Ramadan.”

Expressing contentment with the recently concluded 12th general polls, he added that envoys from various countries had extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the resounding victory of her party, Awami League, in the parliamentary elections.

This assurance comes against the backdrop of concerns about price hikes during Ramadan in Bangladesh, a period historically associated with increased demand for essential goods.

Salman’s commitment aims to allay fears and maintain stability in the market during this crucial time, aligning with the government’s efforts to ensure an affordable and accessible supply of necessities for the public.
