Padma Bank’s Annual Business Conference, themed “Road to Transition,” convened on January 13, 2024 at a five star hotel in the capital. Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Chairman of the Board of Directors, graced the event as the chief guest.
Key attendees among the Board of Directors included Md. Murshedul Kabir (MD & CEO, Agrani Bank Plc), Md. Abul Hossain (MD, ICB), Shahnul Hasan Khan, Jahidur Rahman FCA, Syed Rafiqul Haq, and Dr. Farhana Monem (Independent Director).
Tarek Reaz Khan, MD & CEO, presided over the conference, with Kazi Md. Talha delivering the welcome speech. Faisal Ahsan Chowdhury, DMD & CICCO and Dr. Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin DMD & Chief Business Officer presented a key-note paper on business and recovery.
Chief guest Dr. Nafeez Sarafat congratulated and thanked the bank’s officers and employees, emphasizing the importance of planning and seriousness in achieving annual targets. He expressed optimism in Padma Bank’s growth through Shariah-based banking and commended the positive performance of sub-branches.
MD & CEO Tarek Reaz Khan highlighted the bank’s transformative journey and encouraged employees to focus on the Islamic banking window’s potential. He discussed business reviews, debt collection, and set the annual business targets for 2024.
The event was also attended by Senior Management Team members, Branch Managers, Zonal Heads, and division heads, along with 250 officers and employees. Fifteen employees were recognized for outstanding performance in 2023, and the new product ‘Orjon-52’ ( “অর্জন-৫২” ) was unveiled.
