NCC Bank has distributed agricultural materials at no cost to 1450 marginal farmers in Rajbari and Faridpur Sadar as part of its corporate social responsibility to increase agricultural production.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Baliakandi, Rajbari Rafiqul Islam, attended the ceremony as a special guest, while Additional Managing Director of NCC Bank, Shamsul Arefin, presided over the ceremony. They distributed various types of seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides among marginal farmers in Baliakandi Upazila, Rajbari, on Saturday. Upazila Agriculture Officer of Baliakandi Rafiqul Islam, President of Rajdharpur Secondary School M. A. Hannan, Chairman of Islampur Union Parishad Ahmad Ali, and Headmaster of Rajdharpur Secondary School Wahiduzzaman were also present on the occasion as special guests.

In the Faridpur Sadar CSR program, the Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur, Kamrul Ahsan Talukder PAA, presented as the Chief Guest. Additional Managing Director of NCC Bank Shamsul Arefin presided over the ceremony while Mayor of Faridpur Municipal Amitabh Bose, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Anwar Hossain, Chairman of Faridpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Abdur Razzak Molla, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Liton Dhali, and Founder and Executive Director of Society Development Committee, Faridpur Kazi Ashraful Hasan, were present as special guests and distributed various types of seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides among marginal farmers. Besides, SEVP and Company Secretary Monirul Alam, SVP of CRM Division Shahidul Islam, and Manager of Faridpur Branch Probir Kumar Saha, along with other officers of the Faridpur Branch of NCC Bank, were also present in the ceremony.

Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur Kamrul Ahsan Talukder PAA and Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Baliakandi, Rajbari Rafiqul Islam, considered this agriculture material distribution a great initiative of the NCC Bank and said that marginal farmers of Rajbari and Faridpur districts will benefit from these activities, and it will be helpful to develop the economic condition of the farmers in this area as well.

Additional Managing Director of NCC Bank, Shamsul Arefin, said that NCC Bank is working for the food security of our country, as announced by the Prime Minister. In this continuation, NCC Bank is supporting marginal farmers to cultivate a single inch of land across the country as a part of social responsibility. He hoped that NCC Bank would play a vital role in providing agricultural machinery and advanced technology equipment to farmers at no cost, as well as agricultural research work and the preservation of agricultural products to develop our total agricultural production in the near future.
