Prominent businessman and social activist Manjurur Rahman has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Limited. He was unanimously elected chairman at the recent 1247th meeting of the board of directors. Before being elected chairman, he was director of the board of directors and chairman of the executive committee.
Manjurur Rahman is the Chairman of Reema Tea Company Limited and Independent Director of Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Limited. He was an elected member of the executive committee of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies. He has 53 years of experience in banking, insurance and tea production.
Manjurur Rahman graduated from Calcutta University. He was born in an aristocratic Muslim family of Kazi Bari in Chiora village of Comilla. His father, the late Khan Bahadur Mukhlesur Rahman, graduated from Calcutta University in 1917 with a degree in law and was a successful tea planter. Notification
