Businessmen and investors from Naruto and other areas of Japan are hopeful for investing more in industrial and service sectors in Bangladesh in the near future.

Naruto City of Japan was made a sister city of Narayanganj City in Bangladesh with the aim of enhancing relations between the cities and consequently both countries.

A visiting business delegation from Naruto was hosted at a dinner in the city by Novo Group on Saturday. The ambassador of Japan in Dhaka, IWAMA Kiminori, spoke at the event.

“Bangladesh is a tested friend state of Japan, and investors from our country always feel safe to invest in this country,” IWAMA told the dinner meeting.

Among the Japanese businessmen who spoke at the meeting were Kiminobu Hirashi and Jun Oneda. Syed Mustafizur Rahman, Managing Director of Novo Group, and Anjan Das, a distinguished NRB in Japan, spoke on behalf of Bangladesh.
