Janata Bank holds a discussion on the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu

On the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day, a dialogue and prayer were held at the central prayer room of Janata Bank Plc’s head office on Monday, August 21, 2023.

As the Chief Guest, Md. Abdul Jabbar, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, paid deep respect to the memory of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyrs of August 15.

Mr. Abdul Jabbar said, “Bangabandhu worked for the rights of the poor, helpless, oppressed people. He struggled to build our Sonar Bangla by establishing an independent, sovereign state”.

DMDs of the bank, Md. Kamrul Ahsan, Md. Golam Mortuza, and Md. Ramzan Bahar, also spoke as special guests. Janata Bank CBA General Secretary Md. Anishur Rahman, CBA Executive President Md. Firoz Hossain, President of Independence Officers Council Md. Shaheen Uddin Serniabad, Janata Bank Independence Officer Parishod General Secretary Md. Yasin, executives, officers, employees, officers of the organization, and CBA leaders of all levels of the bank took part in the discussion.

A prayer was also organized for the peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the victims of August 15.
