International Leasing topped investors demand last week

International Leasing and Financial Services Limited, a financial institution company, topped the list on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week. The company’s share price rose 45.27 percent during the period under review. This information has been known from DSE sources.

According to sources, the average daily turnover of the company last week was Tk 3. 26.  At the end of the week, the total transaction amount was Tk 16. 36 crore.

Meanwhile, on the last working day, the company’s share price rose by 2.70 percent or 20 paise on the DSE and changed hands at the last Tk 7.70  . During the day, Tk 83. 80 lakh  shares were exchanged in one thousand 739 times transactions, with a market value of Tk 6 crore 26 lakh 70 thousand. Throughout the day, the share price changes from a minimum of Tk 7 to 10 paise to a maximum of Tk 8. In the last one year, the share price has fluctuated between Tk three to and eight.

The financial sector company has declared a 5 percent bonus dividend for the last financial year ended 31 December 2018. The earnings per share (EPS) for the period under review stood at 53 paise and the net asset value per share (NAV) stood at Tk 13.38  on December 31, compared to Tk 2.6 paise and Tk 14.37 paise in the same period last year.

The paid up capital of the company is Tk 221.61 crore as against the authorized capital of Tk 300 crore. The amount of reserve is Tk 70 crore 36 lakh. The financial institution company was listed on the stock exchange in 2008 and is currently in the ‘B’ category.

Of the total 22 crore 18 lakh 10 thousand 246 shares of the company, 41.54 per cent are held by entrepreneurs and directors, 25.23 per cent by institutional investors, 0.7 per cent by foreign investors and the remaining 33.17 per cent by ordinary investors. The share price-to-earnings (PE) ratio is 14.53 based on the latest annual report and market price.
