IFIC Bank PLC and Khulna University Partner to Enhance Financial Literacy among Students .

IFIC Bank PLC, in collaboration with the Department of Soil, Water and Environment Discipline at Khulna University, successfully organized a Financial Literacy Program to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for financial management and career planning on 13th November 2024. The event was held at the Journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium, Khulna University, and witnessed an enthusiastic response from students and faculty alike. The event opened with Mr. S M Shahriar Zaman, Lecturer of Soil, Water and Environment Discipline welcoming attendees and stressing the importance of financial literacy for students entering professional life. Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Chief of Branch Business of IFIC Bank reinforced the bank’s commitment to youth financial education, while Khulna University’s Director of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmus Sadath encouraged students to take advantage of such opportunities.

 

Keynote speaker Mr. S M Hasan Reza, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank highlighted the role of financial literacy in sustainable growth. Prof. Md. Sanaul Islam, Head of Soil, Water and Environment Discipline of Khulna University praised the IFIC Bank partnership for helping students face future financial challenges. An engaging presentation by Ms. Fariha Haider from IFIC Bank provided practical insights into financial management and banking careers, igniting enthusiasm among students. The program concluded with closing remarks from Prof. Md. Sanaul Islam, expressing gratitude to IFIC Bank and Bangladesh Bank for their active role in promoting financial literacy. This initiative is part of IFIC Bank’s continued efforts to support financial empowerment and education across Bangladesh, contributing to the growth and development of the nation’s future leaders.
