B Mirror Desk : The establishment of an emergency hotline for international investors has been announced by Bangladesh Police. Following a meeting between the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the initiative was taken in response to recent instances of looting and damage at the locations of certain foreign institutions. Attending the meeting were representatives from Nestle, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Bata, Reckitt Benckiser, PepsiCo, and Jubilant Food Works, among other organizations.
Through the hotline, foreign investors can directly report any security-related incidents and receive prompt help. The project demonstrates the government of Bangladesh’s steadfast dedication to supporting investment.
In addition to preparing an action plan for enhanced crisis-communication systems and new security procedures, police officials have promised to respond quickly for the impacted institutions.
BIDA, the police, and businesspeople are working together on this project, which aims to make Bangladesh a secure, stable, and investment-friendly place.
