BM Desk : The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved a case against Md. Rakibul Hasan, a former network specialist at Robi Axiata Limited, on charges of acquiring illegal wealth and concealing asset information.
The decision was confirmed on Thursday (October 30) by Md. Akhtarul Islam, Deputy Director of the ACC.
According to official and media sources, Rakibul Hasan submitted his wealth statement to the ACC in September 2021. During verification, investigators found that he had concealed information about assets worth Tk 3.36 million and provided false and misleading details in his declaration.
Preliminary investigations also revealed that the former Robi official had illegally accumulated wealth amounting to Tk 32.36 million.
Following the findings, the ACC has approved the filing of a case against him under Sections 26(2) and 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004.
