The overall price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) declined during the outgoing week, reflecting a slight weakening in market valuation.
According to the DSE’s weekly market review, the P/E ratio fell by 0.99 percent between October 26 and 30.
At the start of the week, the DSE’s P/E ratio was 10.03 points, but it slipped to 9.93 points by the end of the week—marking a decrease of 0.1 points or 0.99 percent.
Market analysts suggest that the decline in the P/E ratio indicates relatively lower investor confidence and modest earnings growth during the week, though trading activity remained steady across most sectors.
