Transactions have been recorded again on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main stock exchange. Today, on Wednesday, the fourth working day of the week, the DSE had a turnover of Tk 2,600 crore, which is the highest turnover in the last 10 and a half years.
Earlier, on December 6, 2010, shares worth Tk 2,611 crore were traded on the DSE. Then, on the first working day of this week, a transaction of Tk 2,069 crore was made. Within four days, the DSE released the amount of that transaction again.
The stock market crashed in December 2010. In addition to the decline in the index, the volume of transactions is also greatly reduced. However, this year, the good speed of the transaction has returned to the DSE.
Tk 635 crore more transactions have been made on DSE than the previous day. Yesterday, the transaction was 2 thousand 85 crore. The index has risen along with the increase in transactions on the DSE. At the end of the transaction, DSEX is up 31 points at 6,055 points.
Among the shares and mutual funds exchanged on the DSE today, 206 rose, 124 declined and 36 remained unchanged. At the end of the last working day, the DSEX index increased by 48 points.
The top companies in the transaction are Beximco, Lankabangla Finance, National Polymer, National Feed Mill Limited, Pioneer Insurance, Islamic Finance and Investment Limited, NRBC Bank, Federal Insurance, Dutch Bangla Bank and Fortune.
On the other hand, the overall index CASPI on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has increased by 90 points. The index stands at 16,521 points. 8 crore 52 lakh shares have been traded on CSE. Among the exchanged shares and mutual funds, 18 rose, 96 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
