Abdullah Noman has joined the Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) under the Power Department of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources as the new Managing Director, reads a press release.
The new managing director assumed charge in a casual ceremony on Sunday. After assuming responsibility, he sought everyone’s cooperation.
Also, the new official urged everyone to continue working with honesty, dedication and sincerity to make DPDC a smart electricity distribution company in the formation of Smart Bangladesh announced by the Honorable Prime Minister.
As an accomplished engineer, Mr. Noman has been associated with the power sector of Bangladesh for more than three decades. In his long career, he has served in various important positions in the power sector.
Before joining the post of Managing Director, he was working as Executive Director (ICT & Procurement) of DPDC and previously served as Chief Engineer of Bangladesh Power Development Board.
Mr. Noman graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET). Also, as a part of gaining professional skills, he has participated in various higher training and seminars in the USA, China, Italy, Thailand and other countries.
