Doer Services QIO subscription suspended, inquiry committee formed

Regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has suspended the subscription of Qualified Investor Offer (QIO) of Doer Services PLC, which has been approved to raise funds from SME platform of the capital market. Along with that, BSEC has formed an investigation committee to look into the overall issue of the company.

This decision was taken at the 939th commission meeting of BSEC on Tuesday (14 January). The meeting was presided over by the chairman of the commission, Khandkar Rashed Maqsood.

After the meeting, BSEC Executive Director and Spokesperson Mohammad Rezaul Karim signed a press release to inform this information.

It is said that in the commission meeting, considering the interests of the capital market and investors, a decision has been taken to suspend the subscription of Door Services Plc’s QIO. Along with this, a decision has been taken to form an inquiry committee comprising the officials of BSEC and DSE to investigate this matter.

It is further said that recently, the news published in the media about the company’s service contracts with its various customers, the company’s income and profits came under the notice of the commission. In that context, the Commission has taken the above decision to look into the entire matter. A final decision in this regard will be taken after receiving the report of the committee.

It is to be noted that Doer Services PLC applied to the Commission on April 27 last year to withdraw Tk 5 crore through QIO. In the 911th commission meeting held on June 09, the commission took a decision to issue the conditional letter of intent. Later, after receiving the documents from the company as per the conditions of compliance of the company’s conditions, the commission decided to issue the letter of consent in the 934th commission meeting held on 05th December, 2024. In view of this, the company has fixed the date for allotment of QIO offer shares from January 19, 2025 to January 23, 2025.
