DoE Mymensingh Holds Stakeholder Meeting on Pollution Prevention

Raihan  Mymensingh Correspondent :On 24.09.25 at 10:00 AM, a discussion meeting was held organized by the Department of Environment, Mymensingh, with environmentalists, journalists, and stakeholders regarding issues such as soil, water, air, and noise pollution, single-use plastics, waste management, and biodiversity conservation.

The event’s chief guest was Sheikh Mohammad Nazmul Huda, Director of the Department of Environment, Mymensingh Divisional Office.
The meeting was presided over by Md. Nur Kutub Alam Siddique, Deputy Director (Additional Charge), Department of Environment, Mymensingh District Office.

The opening remarks were delivered by Nazia Uddin, Assistant Director of the Mymensingh District Office, who discussed various forms of environmental pollution in detail.

Important discussions were also held by Sabikun Nahar, Assistant Director of the Divisional Office, and Mohammad Al Mahmud, Assistant Director.

In his speech, the chief guest Sheikh Mohammad Nazmul Huda highlighted the harmful aspects of plastic and emphasized the need for everyone to be aware and responsible in protecting the environment.

In his concluding remarks, the Deputy Director stated that development activities must continue while maintaining environmental balance.
