DG Inspires Officers to Uphold Commitment

The Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence, Brigadier General Mohammad Main Uddin, has urged all officers and employees to maintain their highest level of dedication and enthusiasm in their duties.

The appeal was made during a program titled “Motivational Gathering for Officers and Employees” organized by the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters on Monday, October 27, at 10:30 AM. The Director General, along with officers and employees of all ranks from the Dhaka division, attended the event in person. Additionally, deputy directors and district officers from other divisions participated online from their respective offices.

The event began at 10:30 AM with a moment of silent tribute to the martyrs of the Fire Service and Civil Defence. Following that, prayers were offered by Imam Kazi Nurul Ullah. The Director General then formally inaugurated the motivational program.

In his speech, the Director General expressed gratitude to all members of the Fire Service and Civil Defence for their sincere dedication to the government’s initiatives and ongoing development efforts. He praised the efforts of personnel who work tirelessly in the line of duty and called upon everyone to remain steadfast in their commitment and integrity toward their responsibilities.

He also urged the public to act responsibly to prevent the increasing number of fire incidents during the dry season. The Director General emphasized that all officers and employees must continue their awareness campaigns and community outreach programs through the Fire Service’s ongoing initiatives.

During the event, 10 members who participated in recent rescue operations received government commendation certificates for their outstanding performance. Later, awards were also presented to winners of various district and central-level Fire Service competitions in recognition of their administrative and operational excellence. The awards included crests, certificates, and cash prizes.

To further encourage outstanding performance, the “Director General’s Commendation Award” was introduced this year. The program concluded with a lunch at 1:15 PM.
