City Group celebrates its 52nd anniversary with spirit of Fazlur Rahman

Industry giant City Group celebrated its 52nd anniversary on Tuesday with the presence of a huge number of CEOs, senior bankers, top brass of other industrial groups,, editors and leaders of trade bodies and the cross sections of professions. All including dealers and business partners of the City Group came to City House in the capital last evening to wish the City Family members.
“We are working with the spirit of our founder chairman, we will complete his unfinished projects and carry on his dreams to grow further by serving the interests of the consumers and the country’s economy,”‘ said Mohammad Hasan, Managing Director of the group, at the function held at their headquarters.
In his short speech, Hasan also recalled contributions of 25 thousand employees, who have constituted the City Family.
City Group founder Fazlur Rahman died on December 25th last. He started his industrial journey on the 6th of February in 1972 and the legendary entrepreneur later in his life span, established more than 35 industries in diverse sectors.
The group is widely known at home and abroad for its famous brand TEER, which leads in the local markets of flour, atta, soyabean oil and sugar. It has significant shares in the markets of branded rice, pulses, poultry feeds, and also bakery and confectionary items.
