The regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has ordered the transfer of the category of the companies which have already completed distribution of minimum 80 percent of the approved dividend to the Z category in the capital market. BSEC has given this order to the stock exchanges.
This order was given in the 927th emergency commission meeting under the chairmanship of BSEC chairman Khandkar Rashed Maqsood on Sunday (October 20). After the meeting, BSEC Executive Director and Spokesperson Mohammad Rezaul Karim signed this information in a press release.
It is said that in the meeting, it was decided that the stock exchanges will take necessary measures to change the companies from Z category to the applicable category, those companies which have already confirmed the distribution of minimum 80 percent of the approved dividend in the capital market.
Also, in the meeting, it was decided not to collect any fee related to name change for adding ‘PLC’ to the name of the registered market intermediary organization by the Commission.
