BSDI hosts Women’s Entrepreneurship Networking Night

Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI) successfully hosted the inaugural “Women’s Entrepreneurship Networking Night 2023.” The event, held recently, aimed to empower women entrepreneurs by showcasing their achievements, fostering networking opportunities, and inspiring others to embark on the entrepreneurial path.

The event was organized under the auspices of the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), a World Bank-funded project that aims to improve the skills and employability of youth in Bangladesh.

Over 300 women entrepreneurs, including 525 who received training from BSDI from 2019 to 2023, participated in the networking program. The event was attended by Mohammad Sabbir Khan, Chairman of the Daffodil Family, as the chief guest, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of the Daffodil Family, as the special guest, and K.M. Hasan Ripon, Executive Director of BSDI.

The program featured several segments, including women empowerment, startup promotion, networking, entrepreneurship ecosystem, cultural performances, and a raffle draw. Women entrepreneurs shared their success stories and encouraged others to become self-reliant.

The main objective of the program was to strengthen the networking of women entrepreneurs and showcase their success stories.

In his speech, Sabbir Khan congratulated the women entrepreneurs on their achievements and urged them to continue to inspire others. He also praised BSDI for its efforts to empower women entrepreneurs.

Mr. Nuruzzaman, in his speech, said that the Daffodil Family is committed to supporting women entrepreneurs. He also said that the SEIP has been a valuable initiative in helping to train and empower women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.

K.M. Hasan Ripon, in his speech, said that BSDI is committed to providing quality training and support to women entrepreneurs. He also said that BSDI is working to create a more supportive environment for women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
