BIDA, Novo Freight Logistics partner to expand trade and investment in Bangladesh

BM Desk:

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Novo Freight Logistics Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to collaborate on expanding trade and investment in Bangladesh.

The MoU was signed by Mohsina Yasmin, Executive Member of BIDA, and Syed Mustafizur Rahman, Managing Director of Novo Group, at a ceremony held at BIDA headquarters in Dhaka.

BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Mia, who graced the event as the chief guest, highlighted Bangladesh’s transformation into a thriving hub for youth-driven digital innovation, with an influx of 2.25 million young job seekers entering the market each year. He emphasized the country’s progress in recent decades, citing advancements in technology adoption, infrastructure development, and political stability, which have collectively solidified Bangladesh’s position as a prime destination for secure investments.

The MoU between BIDA and Novo Freight Logistics Limited is expected to foster collaboration in attracting domestic and foreign investors, enhancing investment facilitation services, coordinating efforts between domestic and foreign investors, providing comprehensive investment guidelines, and extending full logistical support to potential investors.

This partnership is anticipated to play a pivotal role in expanding Bangladesh’s trade and investment landscape, further propelling the country’s economic growth and development trajectory.
