Bashundhara Group, the country’s leading industrial group, has distributed seven thousand more blankets in the second phase in three spots of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj.
From Tuesday morning, 4,000 blankets were distributed in Bagan Bari area of Kendua Mughal of Kanchan upazila, 1,000 in Atlapur and 2,000 blankets were distributed in front of Sector Rajuk No. 21 office.
Imdadul Haque Milan, director of East West Media Group and editor-in-chief of Kaler Kanth, was present as the chief guest in the blanket distribution ceremony. Liaquat Hossain, Senior Executive Director of East West Property Development (Pvt.) Limited, Abu Hena , Senior General Manager of Bashundhara Group Kanchan Municipality Mayor Rafiqul Islamrafiq were also present.
Imdadul Haque Milan said, today we are distributing seven thousand blankets. We are distributing blankets in other parts of the country. Bashundhara Group distributes two to three lakh blankets throughout the country so that people do not suffer during winter. “We consider the people of this area to be our own people. We are distributing these blankets so that no people in our area suffer,” Milan said.
Earlier on Monday (January 15) at Naora Haji Yad Ali School and College ground of Kayetpara Union, Bashundhara Group distributed 10,000 blankets among the helpless, distressed and cold stricken people.
