Murshedul Kabir has been appointed as the new chairman of Agrani Equity and Investment Limited, a subsidiary company related to the capital market of Agrani Bank. He is also the managing director and CEO of Agrani Bank Limited.

The 884th meeting of the Board of Directors of Agrani Bank gave the green light to his appointment. Mr. Kabir is also Chairman of Agrani SME Financing Limited, Director of Agrani Exchange House Limited (Singapore), Agrani Remittance House (Malaysia), Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, Padma Bank Limited, Primary Dealers Bangladesh Limited, and Member of Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers Association (BAFEDA).

He is also a member of the Senate of Dhaka University. Md. Murshedul Kabir joined Agrani Bank as Managing Director and CEO on August 28, 2022. Before joining this bank, he was working as the Deputy Managing Director of Sonali Bank.

He started his career at Janata Bank in 1988 as a senior officer. Md. Murshedul Kabir completed his MSS degree in Economics and MBA degree in Human Resource Management from Dhaka University.
