Bangladeshi young Sheikh Inzamamuzzaman along with 16 other extraordinary individuals, including innovators, activists and entrepreneurs from twelve countries, has been finalized for this year’s Commonwealth Youth Awards.

Founder of “Study Buddy”, a start-up, that provides an alternative learning platform to children with learning difficulties and their parents.

Interactive approaches such as augmented reality and gaming, the startup conducts personal assessments to match each child with unique learning methodologies and then connects the child with relevant learning tools.

His program has so far provided support more than 800 children and more than 1,000 parents in Bangladesh.

A pan-Commonwealth panel met last week selected the top individuals in each of the award’s four regional categories.

This year more than 500 entries from 40 countries submitted proposal. Of those shortlisted, top candidate from each region will be named as a regional winner. Four regional winners will become the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2020.

Inzamamuzzam said the mission of Study Buddy is to help the millions of parents whose children, ages 3–20, are struggling with learning and attention issues (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, ADHD, autism etc).

“We want to deliver the parents with best alternative learning resources at individual level initially and later expanding our service to institution level.” He said adding “ we want to empower consumers to understand their children’s issues and relate to their experiences.”

It helps parents effective choices that propel their children from simply coping to truly thriving.
