The government today awarded 73 exporters the National Export Trophy based on their shipment volume in the financial year 2020–21. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Office.
On Wednesday, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi presented the trophies at the program jointly organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
The awards were given in 32 categories to 73 companies. Of these, 28 were in the gold category, 25 in silver, and 19 in bronze.
Rifat Garments Limited was crowned with the “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy” for the highest export earnings in the financial year 2020–21.
The National Export Trophy 2020–21 was awarded to two subsidiaries of Primitek Group in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Bangladesh’s export sector. Padma Spinning Composites Limited got the gold medal, and Star Packaging & Accessories Limited got the bronze medal in the C category.
Primitek Group Chairman Omar Farooq, CIP, and Managing Director MA Qayyum received the National Export Trophy from Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi.
