Janata Bank’s another defaulter arrested in Barisal

Staff Reporter

Janata Bank Plc continues its efforts to recover loans from defaulting customers. This time, Md. Delwar Hossain Gazi, Managing Director of Kohinoor Auto Rice Ltd. and Nirala Sea Foods Ltd., was arrested for non-payment of debts on Thursday. He is one of the Barisal Corporate Branch’s defaulting customers.

Currently, Kohinoor Auto Rice Ltd. owes Tk 22.83 crore and Nirala Sea Food Ltd. Tk 35.89 crore. He was wasting time by not paying the regular installments on these loans for a long time. The Barisal corporate branch of the bank filed a case against him due to the non-adjustment of the loan. After being on the run for a long time, law and order forces arrested him in a raid.
