Meghna cement gets ‘bb-’ long-term credit rating

Listed Meghna Cement Mills has received a long-term credit rating of ‘BB-’ and a short-term rating of ‘ST-5’ from Bangladesh Rating Agency Limited (BDRAL).

BDRAL has assigned a ‘developing’ outlook to the company’s ratings.

The ratings were determined after reviewing Meghna Cement’s audited financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2025, and unaudited financial statements for the nine months ended March 31, 2026.

BDRAL also assessed various quantitative and qualitative financial and business factors, along with other relevant information available up to the date of the rating announcement.

The ‘BB-’ rating indicates Meghna Cement’s capacity to meet its long-term financial obligations, while the ‘ST-5’ rating reflects its short-term debt repayment capacity.

The developing outlook indicates that the company’s future credit profile could be affected by changing business and financial conditions.
