Janata Bank PLC has received the first prize for the Best Innovative Product in the state-owned commercial bank category at the Innovation Showcasing 2025–2026, organized by the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance.
The bank’s in-house payment gateway, Janata Pay, was recognized as the best innovative product for its contribution to advancing digital financial services.
The award was presented on Monday at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Finance’s Multipurpose Hall. Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury handed over the award to Janata Bank Managing Director Md. Mujibur Rahman.
The event was chaired by Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division. The recognition highlights Janata Bank’s efforts to promote innovation and strengthen the country’s digital payment ecosystem.
