Prime Bank PLC has honored seven entrepreneurs from different regions of the country in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector on the occasion of World MSME Day 2026.
The recognition was conferred at the “Prime Bank SME Entrepreneurs’ Conference and Award Ceremony 2026,” held on Thursday at a Hotel in Dhaka.
More than one hundred entrepreneurs across the country attended the event, where Prime Bank reaffirmed its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting the growth of the MSME sector. The Bank presented special awards to seven outstanding SME entrepreneurs selected from its SME borrowers.
The award recipients were Bandana Nath, Proprietor of Janani Khaddo Bhandar from Chattogram; Md. Toukir Ahammed, Proprietor of Incredible Pvt. Ltd. from Dhaka; Md. Monir Hossain, Proprietor of Creative IT Institute from Dhaka; Md. Khalil Mia, Proprietor of M/s Khalil Textile from Narsingdi; Sukumar Saha, Proprietor of M/s Sukumar Bhandar from Faridpur; Md. Tamiz Uddin, Proprietor of Sujan Metal Industries from Jatrabari, Dhaka and Sirajum Monira, Proprietor of Sutar Kabya from Dinajpur.
The entrepreneurs were selected based on a range of criteria, including product diversity, annual revenue, employment generation, entrepreneur profile and nature of enterprise.
The event was attended by Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Managing Director of SME Foundation as the Chief Guest and Md. Nazim Hasan Sattar, Deputy Managing Director of SME Foundation as Special Guest, Faisal Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank PLC, M. Nazeem A. Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director and other senior officials of the Bank.
Speaking at the event, Faisal Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank PLC, said “MSMEs form the backbone of our economy by generating employment, fostering innovation, supporting local industries and driving inclusive growth. Prime Bank remains committed to supporting entrepreneurs through accessible financial services, digital solutions and business development initiatives. He expressed his gratitude to all the MSME entrepreneurs for contributing to the economy and assured full support for the MSME entrepreneurs from Bank’s end. He also mentioned that this recognition will inspire MSME entrepreneurs to pursue innovation, expand their businesses and contribute meaningfully towards building a sustainable and resilient economy.”
