Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left for Moulvibazar on a one-day visit on Wednesday to inaugurate the government’s family card distribution programme.
The prime minister departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the morning and arrived at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at around 10:15 am before proceeding to Moulvibazar by road.
According to the schedule, he will officially launch the programme at 1:00 pm at the Victoria High School ground in Sreemangal, where family cards will be distributed to 155 families from Ward No. 1 of Mirzapur Union.
Later, at 2:30 pm, the prime minister is scheduled to distribute family cards to 152 families from Ward No. 7 of Tengra Union in Rajnagar upazila at the Moulvibazar Government High School ground.
After the distribution programme, Rahman is expected to attend a meeting at DuSai Resort. He will return to Dhaka in the evening via Sylhet Osmani International Airport, concluding his day-long visit.
