B Mirror Report: Deshbandhu Food & Beverage Limited is planning to expand its export footprint in Malaysia as part of efforts to strengthen its international market presence and boost sales of Bangladeshi products.
The initiative comes as the company’s Chairman Golam Mostafa is currently on an official visit to Malaysia, where he is holding meetings with importers, distributors and business partners to explore new opportunities for market expansion.
Sources said Deshbandhu Food & Beverage currently exports around 10 containers of beverage and food products to Malaysia every month. With rising demand for Bangladeshi goods, the company is now looking to scale up its operations significantly.
During the visit, discussions are focusing on future business strategies, expansion plans and the introduction of new product lines. Emphasis has been placed on strengthening marketing approaches, increasing presence in supermarkets and retail outlets, and adopting digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility.
Company representatives said Deshbandhu products, particularly soft drinks, juices and other food items, are gaining popularity among both Bangladeshi expatriates and local Malaysian consumers.
To capitalise on this growing demand, the company is considering launching a more diversified range of products in the Malaysian market.
As part of his visit, Chairman Golam Mostafa is also touring wholesale and retail markets across Malaysia to observe product placement, customer response and overall sales performance. He has also exchanged views with sales teams and officials, stressing the importance of maintaining quality standards and developing new products based on consumer preferences.
He held separate meetings with import partners Mohammad Shamsu and Kawsar Ahmed, where discussions covered import operations, market trends, investment prospects and future expansion strategies.
Business stakeholders in Malaysia believe Deshbandhu Group’s initiative will help further strengthen the presence of Bangladeshi products in Southeast Asia and contribute positively to export earnings.
