First Capstone Course of the year concluded successfully

B Mirror Report: The concluding ceremony of the Capstone Course 2026/1 held on Thursday at the National Defence College (NDC), Mirpur Cantonment. General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates among the Capstone Fellows.

General Waker urged all fellows of the course to uphold constitutional responsibilities, strengthen national security, and pursue the sustainable development of Bangladesh.

Lieutenant General Md Faizur Rahman, Commandant of NDC, emphasized the importance of informed dialogue and consensus-building on matters of national importance.

The Capstone Course is an intensive three-week strategic leadership program. This time, a total of 45 fellows, including parliamentarians, senior military and police officers, eminent academics, senior doctors, senior representatives of government and non-governmental organizations, diplomats, and industry and corporate leaders, participated in the training.

The Fellows’ active, thoughtful, and respectful engagement throughout the course has broadened strategic understanding and strengthened a national network of cross-sector leadership.

The Capstone Course, one of the NDC’s flagship programs, is also designed to build strategic awareness, foster critical thinking, promote interdisciplinary cooperation, and develop a shared understanding of national security and development issues across leadership spheres in Bangladesh.

The ceremony was attended by senior military and civil officials, faculty and staff from the NDC, and dignitaries from the Armed Forces and other national institutions.
