At the initiative of the Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB), members of the Board of Directors and officers distributed about 9,000 (nine thousand) winter clothes (blankets) among the cold-stricken people of the remote areas of the country at the beginning of the winter season to protect them from the severe cold.

Notable areas include: – Maddha Badda, Jigatola, Uttarkhan, Baunia, Tongi, Ashulia, Hemayetpur, Jurain Cemetery premises and Madinatul Uloom Orphanage for the Visually Impaired Madrasa-Demra in Dhaka district. Jagatpur Ashram of Raujan, Jhautala Kadam Mubarak Orphanage in Chittagong district. Madanpur in Narayanganj district; Bakerganj, Gournadi and Nalchiti in Barisal district; Dumuria and Shiromani in Khulna district; Chapai Nawabganj district, Shibpur and Mahipal in Feni district; Natipota Sat Shaheediya Qawmi Madrasa premises in Chuadanga district; Hatia Upazila in Noakhali district; Karimganj, Katiadi and Pakundia in Kishoreganj district; Muradnagar in Comilla district; Gopinathpur in Gopalganj district; Madanpur Orphanage and Madrasa premises of Sreepur upozila in Magura district and many other orphanages, madrasas & low-income people in Gazipur and Natore district.
