Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC has been awarded the ‘MasterCard Excellence Award 2025’ for achieving excellence in MasterCard Debit Business (Domestic). Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Md. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury handed over the award to the bank’s Managing Director (Acting) Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan at a ceremony organized at a hotel in the capital on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Honorable Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur was present at the event.
The event was attended by President of MasterCard South Asia Gautam Aggarwal, Country Manager Syed Mohammad Kamal, Director Zakia Sultana, Bank’s Deputy Managing Director S. M. Abu Jafar, Senior Executive Vice President Md. Towhidduzzaman Fuad, Executive Vice President Syed Towhid Hossain, and Vice President and Head of ADC Operations Md. Shakhawat Ullah, diplomats, MD/CEOs of various banks, fintech leaders and invited guests were present in the occasion.
