Mrinal Kanti Roy Tangail Correspondent: A special drive was conducted by the Tangail district administration to make the Government General Hospital free from brokers. On Thursday morning, the operation took place at the Tangail 250-bed General Hospital under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Labibuzzaman Mustabin, with the assistance of a police team led by ASI Alamgir Hossain, In-Charge of the hospital police box.
During the operation, three members of a broker ring were arrested and sentenced to varying terms of imprisonment. The arrested individuals are:
1. Maruf (35), son of late Ain Uddin
2. Aminur Rahman (40), son of late Suman Ali
3. Babu (22), son of Arju Mia — all from Tangail.
Assistant Commissioners and Executive Magistrates Md. Naushad Alam and Sharmin Sultana, along with hospital authorities, were also present during the operation.
