Top Officials Visit Premier Bank at BRI 2025 Exhibition

Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce SK Bashir Uddin and Ambassador of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen visited Premier Bank pavilion at BRI Exhibition 2025

The two-day “Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition 2025,” organized by the Embassy of China in Bangladesh, concluded on September 14, 2025, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka, where Premier Bank set up a pavilion (Hall 2, Stalls 75 & 76).

The event was opened by SK Bashir Uddin, Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, with the keynote address delivered by Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh. Special guests included Md Sabur Hossain, Additional Secretary, Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources; Mirana Mahrukh, Additional Secretary and Wing Chief, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance.

After the inaugural session, the Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce SK Bashir Uddin and the Ambassador of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen visited Premier Bank pavilion where they were welcomed by Dr. Arifur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Premier Bank; Md. Sazzad Hossain, Independent Director & Chairman of the Risk Management Committee; Mohammad Abu Jafar, Managing Director & CEO of the bank; Shahed Sekander, Managing Director of Premier Bank Securities Limited; Nasim Sekander, Additional Managing Director & Head of Gulshan Branch; Sayed Abul Hashem, FCA, FCMA, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer; Amalendu Roy, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Banani Branch along with other officers of the bank.
