Mansur Alam, Pabna: A discussion and exchange of perspectives with the students took place at the auditorium of Pabna Central Girls High School on Tuesday at 11:30 am, organized by the Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Pabna district branch.
The event was chaired by the headmaster of the school, Talebur Rahman, and moderated by the general secretary of the organization, Assistant Professor SM Mahbub Alam. The chief guest, Sumaiya Tasnim, who is the Executive Magistrate of the Pabna District Administration Office, delivered a speech.
Special addresses were made by Mahmud Hasan Rony, Assistant Director of the Consumer Rights Protection Department in Pabna. Other notable speakers included CAB Pabna President ABM Fazlur Rahman, District Senior Information Officer Samiul Alam, and Pabna Municipality Sanitary Inspector Farida Yasmin.
Welcome speeches were presented by the organization’s Joint General Secretary Shafiq Al Kamal, Organizing Secretary and River Researcher Dr. Mansur Alam, along with member and CNF TV Chairman Khaled Ahmed.
To conclude the program, a quiz competition was held as a special highlight. This was conducted by Mahmud Hasan Rony, Assistant Director of the Department of Consumer Rights Protection. He distributed leaflets titled “Learn about the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009” to the students and engaged them in a question-and-answer session to assess their knowledge. At the end of the competition, prizes were awarded to the students who achieved first, second, and third places by the invited guests.
At the start of the program, Ayesha Siddique, a ninth-grade student from the school, recited verses from the Holy Quran.
It is important to highlight that since its inception, CAB Pabna has been dedicated to promoting a fair market system, preventing adulteration, ensuring safe food, and raising consumer awareness.
