DSE Index Surges, Yet Trading Volume Declines

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended trading on the last working day of the week with a price index that was moving in a positive direction. 189 firms had an increase in their share prices on this particular day. The trade volume, however, decreased by Tk. 100 from the day before. This information was revealed by DSE sources.

‘DSEX,’ the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), increased by 32.56 points on Thursday, July 10, according to these sources. The index now has 5,068 points.

Additionally, another index of the DSE, ‘DSES’, increased by 6.84 points to reach 1,100 points, while the ‘DS-30’ index saw a rise of 14.41 points, reaching 1,908 points.

Today, shares and units valued at Tk 6,790.229 crore were traded on the DSE. In comparison, Tk 6,900.6209 crore was traded on the previous working day.

A total of 394 shares and units of various companies were exchanged on the DSE today. Among the companies involved in the transactions, the prices of 196 companies increased, while 128 companies experienced a decrease in their prices. Furthermore, the prices of shares and units of 70 companies remained stable.
