Eid advance train ticket from on May 21

Advance train ticket sales for journeys before and after Eid-ul-Azha will commence on May 21. Tariq Muhammad Imran, the deputy chief operations officer (COPS) of Bangladesh Railway’s Eastern Zone, announced that the ticket sale schedule was established during a meeting led by the railway’s director general in Dhaka on Saturday.

This year, five special trains will operate on the eastern route, in addition to three pairs of special trains designated for transporting sacrificial animals. Tickets for May 31 will be available starting May 21, followed by tickets for June 1 on May 22, June 2 on May 23, June 3 on May 24, June 4 on May 25, June 5 on May 26, and June 6 on May 27.

Authorities have been instructed to manage ticket sales with the understanding that Eid-ul-Azha is expected to be observed on June 7 or 8 this year. The Railway’s East Zone has confirmed that all tickets will be sold online again this year. Imran stated, ‘Advance train tickets for the Western Zone will be available from 8 AM, while those for the Eastern Zone will be accessible from 2 PM.’ Each passenger is permitted to purchase one round-trip ticket online, with a maximum of four tickets allowed per transaction. It is important to note that both advance and return tickets are non-refundable. Return tickets will be released starting May 30, beginning with tickets for June 9.

Tickets for June 10 will be available on May 31, June 11 on June 1, June 12 on June 2, June 13 on June 3, June 14 on June 4, and June 15 on June 5.
