Transactions Soar as Indexes Climb

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s main stock market, concluded trading on the second working day of the week with an increase in the price index. In addition, compared to the previous working day, there were more transactions in taka terms.

The source claims that the DSE’s main index, “DSEX,” rose 12.74 points on Monday, February 17. As of right now, the index has 5,211 points.

Furthermore, the ‘DS-30’ index rose 6.69 points to 1,928 points, and another DSE index, ‘DSES,’ rose 7.03 points to 1,160 points.

The DSE saw trading of shares and units valued at Tk 443.56 crore today. Tk 415.95 crore was exchanged on the previous business day.

Shares and units of 396 businesses were exchanged on the DSE today. 176 of the businesses involved in the transaction raised their prices, while 156 of them lowered them. 64 firms’ share and unit prices, however, did not change.
