The shortfall of edible oil should be resolved in the next seven to ten days, according to Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin.
In response to inquiries from reporters following the Advisory Council Committee meeting on the present labor condition of industrial enterprises in Beximco Industrial Park on Wednesday (February 12) at the Ministry of Shipping’s conference room at the Secretariat, the adviser voiced this hope.
“At the moment, if you look at all the Ramadan products in the market – dates, chickpeas, pulses, and sugar; there is only a problem with oil,” the Commerce Advisor stated, highlighting the market’s oil problems and how companies are using it as an excuse to raise prices. In the next seven to ten days, I hope the oil market will go from a stable position to a declining one, and the supply problem will be resolved.
