A general meeting was held on 11th February 2025 at 10 am at the press club office on the occasion of the formation and inauguration of the executive committee of the traditional and government registered Demra Press Club in a joyful and festive atmosphere. It was presided over by the founder and president of the club, veteran journalist Mr. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury. In this meeting, Mr. Chowdhury as the president and Md. Riaz Uddin as the general secretary was unanimously announced as an ideal and strong executive committee consisting of media workers of Bengali and English dailies widely circulated in the country with 23 members.
