Finance Secretary Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Majumder said that by December this year, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide 600 million dollars and the World Bank will provide 500 million dollars.
He gave this information in a press conference organized by the Ministry of Finance at the Secretariat on Tuesday (November 19). Finance Ministry organized this press conference on the occasion of 100 days of interim government.
At this time the finance secretary. Md. Khairuzzaman Majumdar, Financial Institutions Department Secretary Najma Mubarak, Economic Relations Department (ERD) Secretary Md. Shahriar Quader Siddiqui and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR). Abdur Rahman was present.

He said, IMF and World Bank have given comprehensive solutions to the policies that our interim government is taking. We are getting much more money than we originally planned.
The finance secretary said that the negotiation of 600 million dollar loan with ADB has already been done, we will get this money by December. A loan of 500 million dollars from the World Bank has been negotiated, which we will also receive by December.
Dr. Md. Khayeruzzaman Majumder said, I have asked for additional assistance from IMF to properly implement the steps taken by our interim government. Of that, we’ve asked for an additional $1 billion this year. The IMF will come on December 4 and finalize the discussion with them. Seeing the progress, we are hopeful that we will get it.
