To increase awareness about Shari’ah compliance in banking activities, Shari`ah based Standard Bank PLC. organized a `Shari’ah Awareness Program’ on virtual platform Zoom for Head of Branches, Manager Operations and Investment In-charges of 138 branches of the bank on 14 November 2024. Md. Habibur Rahman, Honorable Managing Director & CEO of the bank presided over the program where Dr. Muhammed Saifullah, Honorable Chairman of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee of the Bank was present as the chief guest. Prof. Dr. Zubair Mohammad Ehsanul Hoque, Member Secretary of the Shari`ah Supervisory Committee of the bank was present as the special guest & keynote speaker and Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & COO of the bank moderated the open floor discussion. K. M. Rahmatullah, SAVP & Head of Shari`ah Secretariat Division acted as the anchor of the program.
