Country Representative of Mitsubishi Corporation Bangladesh Mr. Hiroshi Uegaki handed over a cheque for Tk. 34 lac to the Treasurer of Dhaka University (DU) Prof. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today October 20, 2024 at the VC’s Lounge for establishing Virtual Classroom and Skills Development Training at the Department of Japanese Studies of the university.

Chairman of the Department of Japanese Studies Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Associate Prof. Dr.Abdullah-Al-Mamun, some other faculty members and Mitsubishi Corporation Manager Syeda Shahtaz Saiara & Admin Manager Nusrat Jahan were present on this occasion.

Treasurer Prof. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury thanked Mitsubishi Corporation authorities for this donation. He sought more support and cooperation from Mitsubishi Corporation in providing scholarship for financially challenged students. He stressed the need for introducing internship program for DU students at Mitsubishi Corporation to strengthen relationship between industry and academia.

It may be mentioned that Mitsubishi Corporation has also been supporting DU Japanese Studies Department by providing scholarship to its students for the last three consecutive years.
