Dhaka Stock market panic returns; five thousand crore taka will vanish in two days.

On the first working day of the year, the opening index of the main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) was 6 thousand 242 points. On that day the market capital of the investors was 7 lakh 80 thousand 823 crores.

Since then, the stock market has continued to decline. At this time, other indicators of the economy turn around, but the index in the stock market is stuck in the circle of decline.

In the first quarter and seven months of the year, the DSE index lost 892 points and investors lost capital of Tk 1 lakh 26 thousand 238 crore.

In the meantime, the last working day of the week on Thursday broke the circle of decline and the market gave the impression of turning around again. That day, the DSE index increased by 63 points, and investors’ capital was recovered to Tk 3,165 crore.

Then, on Sunday, the rise-up market started to fall again. At the beginning of trading on this day, the DSE index increased by 30 points. But in the end, it turned into a minus of 30 points.

Today, on Monday, there were glimpses of an upswing at the beginning of trading. But as the days wore on, the claws of the fall grew stronger. Lately, the falling paw has taken the form of fear. The DSE index was minus 53 and a half points.

It shows that the DSE index lost 83 points in the last two working days (Sunday and Monday). And the capital of the investors has disappeared 5 thousand 2 crore taka.
