Experts highlight opportunities, scholarships, and benefits for Bangladeshi students

K- Village organized a seminar on “Study in South Korea: Bridging the Language Gap and Beyond” at Gulshan Club in the capital on Friday.

Presided over by Edward Kim, chairman of K-Village, the seminar was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Ryu Young Oh, Chairman of the Korean Community in Bangladesh; Mr. Shahab Uddin Khan, President of KBCCI; Mr. Taeyoung Kim, Country Director of KOICA, Mr. Lim Kyung Rae, Cultural Officer of the Korean Embassy; and Rezia Usman, Regional Director of International Relations at Woosong University.

Rezia Usman, highlighted South Korea’s emergence as an Asian economic giant. She noted that South Korea is renowned for its diverse range of products, from automobiles, electronics and even households illustrating its economic prowess. She emphasized South Korea’s affordable and advanced healthcare facilities and residential safety, which are key factors for international students. She pointed out, Woosong University ranks third in terms of Bangladeshi student enrollment.

Mr. Choi, Director of K-Village, said that completing a required degree in South Korea opens up job opportunities. After graduation, students are encouraged to apply for work visas, which are easily accessible.

Kyngrae Lim said that Korea offers numerous scholarships with some covering up to 100% of tuition for the foreign students.
